Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:00 a.m. We meet in fellowship after worship for juice, coffee and snacks.

A nursery is provided for children to age four.

Ernest Gilmore


Ernest Leroy Gilmore, Jr., 84, Willard, born on December 11, 1920 in Chicago,Illinois, to the late Ernest L. and Agnes (Swanson) Gilmore, and passed away on September 10, 2005 in Willard Care passed Center.

Ernest graduated from Steinmetz High School, Chicago in 1939. He proudly served his country during World War in the Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1946. During that time he was united in marriage to Lillie Mae Clark on June 9, 1944 and to this union two children were born. After 33 years of work in January of 1980 Ernest retired from the Veterans Administration Data Processing Center as Chief Accountant in Hines, lL. During his free time he enjoyed playing golf.


Ernest was a member of Willard - Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors including loving wife of the home, Lillie Mae; son William Gilmore and wife June of Bois D'Arc and daughter Janice Schleser and husband Dan of Hanover Park, IL; grandchildren Richard Gilmore and wife Stacey of Elgin, lL., David Gilmore also of Elgin, 1L., Daniel Schleser of Schaumburg, lL., and Jay Schleser and wife Tara of Elk Grove Village, IL.; great grandchildren Andrew, Evan, and Eric Gilmore and McKenna Schleser; sister Lorraine Mueller and husband Arthur of Madison, Alabama; brother-in-law George Clark of Woodlands, TX; numerous other loving relatives and a host of friends.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, September 16, 2005 at Willard Mt.
Zion Presbyterian Church with Pastor Lorraine Dill officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2005 from 6-8 pm at T'hieme-shadelHicks Funeral Service at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO 65802.
